Freelance Translator, English to Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and enhance machine-translated content from English (US) to Spanish (US)

• Boost the precision, fluency, and overall quality of machine translation

• Ensure the final output feels natural, as though it was originally crafted by a native speaker

• Provide high-quality results within tight deadlines

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, or an equivalent qualification featuring substantial translation training

• A degree in any other discipline from a recognized institution, coupled with two years of full-time professional translation experience

• A minimum of five years of full-time professional translation experience

• Bilingual proficiency in English (US) and Spanish (US), with a preference for native Spanish speakers

• Experience in post-editing machine translation (MT) and/or localization

• A solid grasp of fluency, naturalness, accuracy, and coherence in post-edited materials

• Evaluation of raw MT output, including error detection, post-editing effort assessment, and turnaround time
