Freelance SEO Project Manager – NL/DE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee SEO initiatives in the NL and DE markets, including technical, semantic, and editorial assessments.

• Establish and prioritize on-page, off-page, and technical recommendations (indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data JSON-LD / schema.org) based on business impact rather than merely the volume of opportunities.

• Develop a localized content strategy that goes beyond simple translation, ensuring a true cultural and linguistic adaptation of search intent for each market.

• Incorporate GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) factors: optimizing for answer engines and generative AI technologies (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.).

• Manage ROI-focused performance evaluation: link SEO/GEO actions to tangible business results (qualified traffic, conversions, revenue, pipeline), establish KPIs and attribution, and report on ROI for each market.

• Create clear, decision-focused reporting through Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio, and rank-tracking tools, with dashboards that align effort with value rather than vanity metrics.

• Collaborate with stakeholders including copywriters, translators, developers, and local market leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated SEO expertise (preferably 3+ years), with a strong sensitivity to multilingual and multi-market dynamics.

• Proficient in Dutch and German; a nuanced understanding of local search behavior is a significant advantage.

• Strong technical SEO and structured data knowledge.

• Familiarity with GEO and generative search trends.

• A results-driven, ROI-oriented mindset: adept at defining KPIs, measuring outcomes, and prioritizing based on anticipated returns.

• Experience with GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog (or similar), Looker Studio, and rank tracking tools.

• Ability to work independently, with meticulous attention to detail and strong prioritization skills.

• Knowledge of additional markets (FR, EN, IT, ES) is desirable.

• Experience in international e-commerce is a plus.

• An understanding of cultural SEO (the relationship between language, cognition, and search behavior) is a plus.
