Freelance Senior EDM Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create responsive HTML email and EDM templates based on designs from Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or other design sources.

• Construct email-safe layouts utilizing HTML, CSS, table-based structures, inline styles, and media queries.

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot email campaigns within Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).

• Assist in journey setup, personalization, dynamic content, profile attributes, audience targeting, and campaign quality assurance.

• Ensure compatibility across Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo Mail, mobile devices, and other prominent email clients.

• Resolve issues related to rendering, responsiveness, personalization, and campaign logic.

• Implement reusable modules, merge tags, conditional content, and dynamic content effectively.

• Perform pre-send quality assurance checks covering links, images, alt text, personalization, responsive behavior, and content accuracy.

• Make adjustments based on feedback from internal teams and clients.

• Collaborate with creative, marketing, project management, CRM, and development teams.

• Handle multiple projects and deliver work within established deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in developing responsive HTML emails and EDMs, along with practical knowledge of Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).

• Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS tailored for email design.

• Familiarity with personalization and dynamic content functionalities within AJO.

• Solid understanding of table-based email layouts, inline CSS, media queries, Outlook/VML fallbacks, mobile responsiveness, and considerations for dark mode.

• Experience in troubleshooting email rendering issues across major email clients.

• Knowledge of customer journeys, audience segmentation, consent, profile data, and email delivery processes.

• Experience with email testing tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to accurately translate designs into HTML.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote, project-based environment.

• Strong written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international teams.
