Freelance Packaging Designer – AI-Assisted Concept Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create initial concepts for packaging and labels based on established project briefs.

• Engage in scheduled brainstorming sessions with relevant Talking Rain stakeholders as needed.

• Utilize AI image and design tools to generate concept mockups, label variations, flavor extensions, and limited-edition ideas.

• Adjust concepts according to consolidated client feedback within agreed-upon timelines.

• Produce concept boards and rough mockups ready for transfer to the internal design team or agency for final production artwork.

• Offer expert insights on shelf impact, trends in the CPG category, and consumer-oriented packaging communication.

• Provide additional services only when mutually agreed upon in writing.

• Suggest schedules and workflows to achieve mutually established milestones.

• Submit invoices according to agreed payment terms and cover standard business expenses unless reimbursable expenses have been pre-approved in writing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in CPG packaging design, brand design, or packaging innovation.

• Experience in the beverage sector is a significant advantage.

• Advanced, hands-on proficiency with AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT/DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in traditional design tools including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• A portfolio showcasing CPG packaging work and AI-assisted concept development.

• Ability to work live and efficiently with senior executives.

• Capability to take direction and generate options promptly.

• Established freelance, consulting, or design business providing services to the market.

• Maintains appropriate business registrations as necessary.

• Utilizes personal equipment and properly licensed software.

• Willingness to participate in mutually scheduled working sessions, including occasional evening or weekend meetings if agreed upon by both parties.
