Freelance Korean – English Translator, Investment Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Translate texts between Korean and English, as well as English to Korean.

• Manage documentation for clients within the Investment Banking industry.

• Translate materials pertinent to Investment Banking, including Market Commentary.

• Develop and finalize translation products prior to client delivery.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Adhere to complete confidentiality, translation, and MTPE testing as part of the application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in both Korean and English.

• Expertise in Investment Banking, particularly Market Commentary.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar.

• Capability to uphold professionalism in all circumstances, especially when facing tight deadlines.

• Preference for candidates within the Asian time zone.

• Candidates must agree to a confidentiality agreement.

• Candidates are required to complete free Translation and MTPE assessments.

• One of the following qualifications is necessary: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or an equivalent degree with substantial translation training) from a recognized institution; 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree; 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation issued by an appropriate government authority.

• Must submit an updated CV that includes relevant Translation and MTPE experience, as well as proposed Translation per-word and MTPE hourly rates in USD.
