Freelance Frontend Engineer, all genders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design the user experience for tools that drive GROPYUS' automated planning and production workflows.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to introduce new features for the 3D parametric visualization and configuration platform.

• Advance frontend experiences utilizing React.

• Incorporate interactive 3D visualization functionalities using Three.js and bespoke canvas-based libraries.

• Develop intuitive workflows for engaging with intricate building data and parametric models.

• Work in tandem with backend services and occasionally assist in API development.

• Contribute to the evolution of building design and manufacturing through software engineering, automation, and 3D technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with React and modern TypeScript-based frontend development.

• Proven experience in creating complex, interactive web applications with an emphasis on usability and performance.

• Practical experience with Three.js or other 3D web technologies.

• Familiarity with HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, or analogous visualization frameworks.

• Capability to convert product and design specifications into effective, user-centric solutions.

• Experience in integrating frontend applications with GRPC APIs and backend services.

• Comfortable working across the technology stack, including the implementation or enhancement of backend endpoints.

• Strong grasp of frontend architecture, state management, component design, and performance optimization.

• Experience collaborating closely with Product Designers and working with design systems.

• Knowledge of testing, debugging, and maintaining applications in a production environment.

• A keen interest in 3D visualization, CAD-like applications, digital planning tools, or parametric systems is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Kotlin, Azure, or backend development is advantageous but not mandatory.

• A self-employed or contractor setup is necessary for taxation purposes.
