This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.
• Transform creative sketches and mood boards into comprehensive digital Tech Packs utilizing Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, or Excel.
• Incorporate graded specifications, construction notes, stitch types, and trim details into Tech Packs.
• Investigate, suggest, and procure fabrics, hardware, and wash finishes while adhering to cost and sustainability objectives.
• Facilitate remote fitting sessions through Zoom/Teams and provide factories with digital feedback and images regarding pattern modifications and construction adjustments.
• Act as the primary contact for manufacturing partners via email, WhatsApp, and video conferencing.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and minimum order quantities remotely.
• Resolve production challenges through shared digital files and offer prompt solutions.
• Manage the production timeline from the sample phase to bulk delivery.
• Alert the internal team about potential delays using tools like Asana, Trello, Slack, or similar platforms.
• Set quality standards, including AQL levels, and enforce them through remote inspection checklists.
• Analyze garment costs in costing sheets to achieve wholesale and retail margin goals.
• Serve as a liaison between the creative design team and both overseas and domestic manufacturing partners.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising/Product Development, or a related field is advantageous.
• Over 3 years of experience in fashion product development, technical design, or production management.
• Demonstrated experience in apparel development, particularly in intimate wear.
• Advanced skills in creating Tech Packs.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is mandatory.
• Experience with CLO 3D or Browzwear is a plus.
• Strong understanding of woven, knit, and cut-and-sew construction methods.
• Proficient in using Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and other project management tools on a daily basis.
• Exceptional written and verbal skills in English.
• Capability to identify fit or construction issues from factory photos/videos and provide remote explanations for solutions.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection is required.
• A quiet environment for video calls is necessary.
• A portfolio that demonstrates relevant apparel and intimate wear development work; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
• Preferred: experience collaborating directly with Asian or European manufacturing hubs.
• Familiarity with PLM software is preferred.
