Freelance Creative Translator, Transcreator – Indonesian to English (US)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional transcreation, translation, and cultural adaptation for marketing, entertainment, and multimedia creative content from Indonesian into English.

• Collaborate effectively with internal and linguistic teams to guarantee high-quality output across multiple platforms.

• Perform in-depth cultural and market research to avoid pitfalls of literal translation, ensuring the copy accurately reflects brand tone, humor, and nuances.

• Review, proofread, and offer constructive feedback on Indonesian-to-English marketing copy to enhance campaign performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Marketing, Linguistics, Communications, or a related discipline (or equivalent commercial experience).

• A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience specifically in marketing translation and creative transcreation.

• Native-level fluency in English (US) with a professional understanding of Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia).

• A demonstrated ability to adapt tone, style, and voice across various brand guidelines and multimedia formats.

• Strong creativity and attention to detail, with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content.

• Familiarity with contemporary CAT tools and localization workflows, along with outstanding communication and remote collaboration skills.
