This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the main owner of Key Results (KRs) for the department, crafting and executing strategies to meet and surpass established fraud rate targets.
• Collaborate across departments with PeopleOps and Finance to create and implement a long-term staffing model, which includes the formation of specialized sub-teams.
• Lead discussions on technical and operational matters with key external partners to synchronize detection logic and maintain compliance.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Engineering teams to integrate risk controls throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare executive summaries and reports for the board that outline the financial ROI of the fraud program.
• Oversee the assessment and deployment of new fraud detection technologies to enhance the platform’s preventive measures continuously.
• Manage the complete operational rollout for product launches and company initiatives, ensuring that all investigative workflows are optimized for new markets.
• Direct the departmental response to system-wide incidents or surges in bad-actor activities, coordinating with Engineering and Product to implement immediate mitigations.
• A Bachelor’s degree, coupled with 6-10 years of experience in fraud, accounting, or finance.
• At least 2 years of experience in people management and leadership is required.
• In-depth knowledge of high-growth fintech fraud typologies, such as Account Takeover (ATO), identity theft, and debit card fraud.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience using AI/Automation tools to enhance operational workflows and capacity.
• Outstanding interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of converting technical fraud findings into actionable business insights for cross-functional teams.
• Experience in multi-institutional fintech environments and CFE certification is preferred.
