This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as a vital field partner for Denny’s franchisees, supporting around 90–100 restaurants and managing 10–12 franchisee relationships within the designated market.
• Establish trusted and productive connections with franchisees and their leadership teams.
• Engage in thoughtful, open-ended questioning to comprehend challenges, identify root causes, and assist franchisees in assuming responsibility for solutions.
• Transform discussions into definitive commitments, detailing necessary actions, ownership, and deadlines.
• Ensure follow-through on agreed actions and address any unmet commitments directly and constructively.
• Utilize restaurant KPIs, financial outcomes, guest feedback, and operational insights to steer business discussions.
• Assist franchisees in linking operational execution to traffic, profitability, guest experience, and sustainable business health.
• Coach and influence by leveraging credibility, business insights, and relationships.
• Promote Denny’s brand standards and clarify the rationale behind expectations and initiatives.
• Collaborate with franchisees on promotions, pricing strategies, CRM programs, technology implementations, and other brand initiatives.
• Recognize trends, risks, and opportunities across the market and convey field insights to Regional Operations and Support Center partners.
• Document essential conversations and commitments while ensuring follow-through from discussion to execution.
• Spend considerable time within restaurants and be willing to travel up to 90%, including overnight trips.
• Proven experience as a leader in restaurant or franchise operations.
• Background in multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, franchise operations, consulting, or similar business environments.
• Track record of successfully building relationships and influencing business owners or operational leaders.
• Strong operational and financial insight with the ability to convert performance data into actionable steps.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to handle challenging conversations with confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Food Safety Manager Certification or the ability to acquire certification as needed.
• Bilingual skills are advantageous.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work during days, evenings, weekends, or holidays as business needs arise.
• Comfort in an active restaurant setting.
• Availability to travel up to 90%, including overnight stays.
