FP&A Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and ongoing operational models, encompassing revenue, headcount, and expense projections.

• Develop monthly and quarterly reporting packages that include variance analysis and detailed written commentary.

• Collaborate with the Head of FP&A and the VP of Finance to create and update board and investor reporting materials.

• Monitor and enhance SaaS efficiency metrics, such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), payback periods, magic number, gross margin, and burn efficiency.

• Enhance the planning and reporting framework, systems, data flows, and definitions of source-of-truth that connect ERP, CRM, and planning tools.

• Collaborate with department leaders on headcount planning, expenditure management, and monthly budget evaluations.

• Construct models that support pricing and packaging strategies, product investment assessments, fundraising initiatives, and the evaluation of inorganic growth opportunities.

• Start as an individual contributor with the potential to develop and lead a team in the future.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting, with significant exposure to high-growth SaaS environments.

• Proficient financial modeling skills and expert-level proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Familiarity with contemporary planning tools such as Pigment, Runway, Mosaic, or Anaplan.

• Knowledge of SQL or BI tools is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and their influence on planning, reporting, and revenue recognition.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• A high level of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
