This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise all financial activities of the venture capital firm, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, capital calls, and distributions.

• Oversee valuation processes for both direct and fund-of-fund investments.

• Create and uphold financial models for investment assessment, portfolio performance evaluation, and strategic decision-making.

• Manage relationships with Limited Partners (LPs), communicate fund performance, and respond to investor inquiries.

• Track cash flow, manage investments, and enhance financial resource utilization.

• Assist with management company operations, which include payroll, benefits, insurance, and lines of credit.

• Collaborate with the tax provider on tax returns, including K-1 forms.

• Oversee the audit process to ensure timely and accurate audit reports.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory updates.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting obligations.

• Lead and mentor finance professionals.

• Establish performance objectives, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate career development initiatives.

• Report directly to the Venture Capital Practice Leader.

• Offer consulting services to Kranz Consulting clients as part of the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA certification is required.

• A minimum of 15 years of experience is necessary.

• Background in venture capital is essential.

• Public accounting experience is preferred.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are required.

• A degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Practical experience in working with, training, and mentoring staff is essential.
