This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.
• Take charge of the complete annual budgeting process from the initial department-head kickoff to board approval.
• Spearhead monthly and quarterly rolling forecast cycles.
• Manage and enhance the integrated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and capital expenditure model.
• Create scenario and sensitivity analyses for pricing, operational expenses, and capital expenditure related to network expansion.
• Provide monthly closing packages that compare actuals against the budget and previous periods, accompanied by written commentary.
• Assemble quarterly board reporting packages with precise figures and variance commentary.
• Oversee the company's KPI framework, which includes unit economics, subscriber metrics, and network performance metrics.
• Collaborate with accounting and external auditors to ensure FP&A outputs align with statutory reporting.
• Work in partnership with Operations, Sales, and Network teams to develop financial plans.
• Conduct capital expenditure analysis and investment evaluations for network expansion and infrastructure decisions.
• Analyze margins and costs while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses related to pricing, hiring strategies, and vendor choices.
• Develop recurring analytical frameworks such as unit economics, cohort analyses, payback analysis, and cost per subscriber.
• Identify off-plan trends and financial risks promptly.
• Implement AI-first tools, workflows, and prompting practices within the FP&A function.
• Determine team priorities, review and enhance outputs, mentor junior team members, and manage the FP&A calendar.
• Report directly to the VP of Finance.
• MBA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-MBA experience in FP&A, including responsibility for a budgeting or forecasting process.
• AI-native approach to building, analyzing, and reporting, with evidence of AI usage.
• Full bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English, in writing and speaking.
• Proven experience managing a complete annual budget cycle: kickoff, creation, approval, and ongoing reforecasting.
• History of delivering board-level reporting as a primary contributor, not as support.
• Expertise in financial modeling, including integrated three-statement models, scenario analyses, and capital expenditure planning.
• Capacity to frame problems, structure analyses, and provide clear, defensible conclusions.
• High editorial standards for analysis prepared for executives and boards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Established ability to build trust across functions and levels of seniority.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%, primarily between Medellín and Bogotá, Colombia.
• Preferred background in telecommunications, ISPs, infrastructure, or subscription-based industries.
• Management consulting experience is a plus.
• Preferred experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
