FP&A Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in monthly internal financial reviews, including analyses of budget versus actual variances.

• Prepare financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis for the Board of Directors.

• Aid in the preparation of monthly reports for investors.

• Sustain long-term financial models for both internal and external use.

• Oversee monthly compliance reporting.

• Contribute to the comprehensive budget development during the annual planning process.

• Collaborate with department leaders to collect data and project expenditures.

• Develop and maintain budget management tools for department heads.

• Engage in ad hoc analyses and automation initiatives to enhance team productivity.

• Report directly to the Director of FP&A.

• Work in partnership with Accounting, Revenue and Operations, People/HR, Data & Analytics, and departmental budget stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a similar analytical position; strong internships are valued.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, particularly with large datasets and creating clean, auditable models.

• Familiarity with NetSuite and an HRIS or payroll system like Rippling is an advantage.

• Capability to create board- and executive-level presentations using PowerPoint and Google Slides.

• Understanding of FP&A principles, including budget versus actual comparisons, variance analysis, and margin calculations.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to recurring deadlines.

• Strong writing and communication skills, with the capability to translate data into concise summaries for leadership.

• A collaborative mindset and a desire to grow alongside the team.
