This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Drive revenue growth for Pyrotek’s offerings within the aluminum foundry sector.
• Market consumables, equipment, and technical services to clients in the designated territory.
• Oversee and expand territory accounts by fostering customer relationships, identifying key decision makers, prospecting, and achieving sales and gross profit objectives.
• Formulate and negotiate customer contracts, pricing, and supply agreements; assess quarterly performance for compliance.
• Deliver technical support and sales solutions by collecting data, preparing quotes and presentations, and collaborating with customer service, operations, and supply chain teams.
• Conduct regular visits to customer facilities for relationship enhancement, training, and technical presentations.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
• Observe competitor activities and devise counterstrategies and sales tactics with management.
• Utilize the CRM system for trip reporting, customer interactions, and timely expense filings.
• Travel domestically and internationally by land and air, up to 50% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, along with three years of technical sales and/or customer-facing experience, ideally in the aluminum or foundry industry, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• A valid U.S. driver's license is necessary.
• Must hold and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and passport.
• Capability to travel domestically and internationally by land and air, up to 50%.
• Adherence to Pyrotek’s Vehicle Reimbursement Program, which includes unrestricted driver's license, motor vehicle record stipulations, and insurance requirements.
• Strong grasp of sales processes and value-based selling techniques.
• Ability to cultivate relationships and market technical solutions in industrial environments.
• Competence in assessing competitors, recognizing threats and opportunities, and adapting strategies accordingly.
• Familiarity with company product lines and specifications.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering principles pertinent to aluminum foundry manufacturing.
• Skill in evaluating customer environments and configuring solutions appropriately.
• Proficiency in product demonstration and technical presentation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and create proposals with ROI calculations.
• Basic math skills for assessing product fit and performance.
• Effective customer interaction, communication, writing, persuasion, and active listening abilities.
• Proficient in using virtual meeting tools and digital communication channels.
• Capacity to collaborate with diverse teams.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and honesty.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
• Initiative, independence, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills, self-discipline, reliability, and discretion with confidential information.
• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, email, video conferencing, instant messaging, quoting tools, proposal generators, e-signature platforms, LinkedIn, email marketing platforms, and ERP or order management systems.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods, bend, reach, use stairs, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and communicate effectively in English.
• Capability to maintain a dedicated, distraction-free home office with reliable connectivity while working remotely.
• Ability to work in environments with manufacturing hazards including fumes, airborne particles, varying temperatures, molten metal, noise, mechanical parts, and moving industrial vehicles; PPE may be necessary.
