This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Your primary responsibility involves initiating conversations with individuals who may not have requested your outreach, including plant managers, maintenance and reliability leaders, safety leaders, operations personnel, and executive buyers. You engage them in discussion, maintain the dialogue, and secure meetings.
• Email and LinkedIn serve as support for your calls, allowing you to strategically determine your target audience prior to making contact.
• Trade shows are another critical aspect of your role; you prepare by scrutinizing the attendee list to arrange meetings at our booth and follow up with all visitors while the interaction is still fresh.
• Qualification and handoff is essential; you quickly assess the severity of the pain point, the urgency for action, and the decision-makers involved. You then brief the account executive on the key insights: the issues at hand, the stakeholders engaged, and the reasons for immediate attention.
• You also create connections with sister sites; many clients operate multiple facilities. Once one location is satisfied, you identify and reach out to key individuals at other sites to initiate conversations.
• Your toolkit includes platforms like ZoomInfo for identifying suitable companies and contacts, HubSpot for managing outreach and maintaining a clean pipeline, and AI tools such as Claude and Artisan for account research and crafting initial outreach quickly. While the tools handle the preliminary tasks, the critical thinking and conversations are yours to manage.
• The playbook you develop captures effective strategies and insights; you document successful openers, objections you have learned to address, and consistent target lists. Recognizing that the person answering the phone may not be the ultimate decision-maker, you map the account to connect with influential individuals, tailoring your approach to each contact's concerns—whether they're worried about fire hazards or frustrated by ongoing production line issues.
• You are a proactive hunter who does not give up; you actively seek out leads rather than waiting for them to come to you.
• You are adept on the phone; you can engage a busy plant manager for a brief conversation, think quickly on your feet during pushback, and present yourself as a credible professional.
• Your natural curiosity drives you; you will be calling individuals who manage industrial operations. While you may not yet be familiar with their world, your eagerness to learn about it is essential.
• You possess a competitive spirit, are open to coaching, and are ambitious for advancement. You keep track of your performance, embrace feedback quickly, and view the SDR role as a stepping stone rather than a limit.
• Organization is key for you; you maintain a clean CRM (we utilize HubSpot), follow up diligently, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
• You leverage AI as a competitive advantage; you are already utilizing tools like Claude to enhance your efficiency and recognize when to rely on them versus making a direct call.
• Your background may include experience in another SDR or BDR position, inside sales, a heavily phone-based account or support role, recruiting, real estate, or hospitality—anywhere you excelled by engaging with people.
• Additional consideration will be given if you have prior experience prospecting in our core sectors (wood processing, recycling, paper) or have established relationships with plant operators, safety leaders, or facilities teams that can help facilitate introductions.
• Competitive base salary plus uncapped variable compensation linked to the meetings and pipeline you generate.
• A clear career progression: the SDR role serves as an entry point, not a final destination, with opportunities for advancement into closing positions for those who demonstrate their capabilities.
• Direct access to leadership: you will report to the SVP of Sales and collaborate closely with our leadership team and founders, equipped with a modern tech stack and the autonomy to utilize it effectively.
• A product that addresses urgent needs, eliminating the necessity for manufactured urgency: fires pose significant risks, downtime incurs costs monthly for our customers, and insurers increasingly mandate preventive measures.
• A flexible and trust-based work environment within an international, customer-focused team.
