This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of how the market perceives the company.
• Position the company effectively against established players in the federal government sector.
• Develop a demand generation strategy to drive growth.
• Establish credibility with government purchasers.
• Craft positioning and messaging tailored for diverse audiences.
• Produce high-quality content, including long-form writing, product videos, podcasts, interviews, and more.
• Enhance engagement on social media platforms.
• Organize events and map stakeholders against senior government decision-makers.
• Define target audiences, campaigns, channels, and growth metrics.
• Create both online and in-person funnels to attract target buyers.
• Oversee and assess the performance of external vendors and agencies.
• Experiment with new marketing strategies at a rapid pace.
• Leverage AI agents to automate marketing functions related to drafting, research, campaigns, and reporting.
• Must be a US citizen, capable of obtaining and maintaining a US security clearance; no sponsorship provided.
• Experience in areas such as growth, events, marketing, psychological operations, information operations, or political campaigns.
• Proven track record with named campaigns, pipeline-driven success, or impactful content, substantiated by metrics.
• A portfolio, website, or collection of published work; applications lacking this will not be considered.
• Comfortable taking charge of strategy and executing hands-on as the sole marketer.
• Strong candidates may possess experience in psychological operations, information operations, or influence campaigns within military or intelligence contexts, alongside startup marketing or branding expertise.
• Digital experience in political campaigns, including narrative development and audience growth.
• Founding or early-stage marketing experience in a defense-tech, GovTech, or mission-oriented startup.
• Self-generated content portfolio encompassing writing, video, podcasts, or campaigns.
• Capacity to create and distinguish high-quality content.
• Experience in building an audience from the ground up.
• Regular use of AI and automation for personal work processes.
• Ability to engage with political appointees, career civil servants, and AI/tech enthusiasts.
• Comfortable making decisions with limited information and adapting swiftly.
• Fast-paced approach to planning and execution.
• Nice-to-haves: Located in the DMV area or NYC; experience in technical/software product marketing; knowledge of government marketing or sales; insights into prominent defense-tech campaigns.
