• Take full ownership of product design from start to finish. This includes the flows, components, interaction patterns, and the cohesive system that integrates them.
• Develop and enhance our design system. This involves color, typography, spacing, and components, ensuring scalability for the next ten engineers to deliver quickly without compromising visual standards.
• Manage the brand identity. This encompasses the overall look and feel of Centralize across all platforms beyond just the product.
• Create marketing materials. This includes the website, launch assets, presentations, and social media content, which often represent the first impression of Centralize.
• Engage with customers. Participate in sales discussions, observe users interacting with the product, and translate those insights into design decisions.
• Establish and elevate the standards for visual and craft quality at Centralize on a daily basis.
• Lay the groundwork for the design team that you will eventually assist in recruiting and leading.
• A portfolio that speaks for itself. We prioritize the work over the resume. Showcase the product interfaces, branding projects, and intricate details you've delivered.
• Exceptional visual discernment. You can identify issues on a screen and envision what should occupy a blank canvas.
• Proficiency across product design, design systems, typography, and branding. You seamlessly transition between complex enterprise workflows and marketing pages without losing focus.
• The ability to think beyond conventional templates. You discover solutions that others might overlook and recognize when an unconventional choice is the best option.
• You go beyond just static mockups. At a minimum, you create high-fidelity prototypes of your designs, and ideally, you implement them into code yourself, whether manually or using tools like Claude Code. The ideal candidate delivers their own work to production.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. You can articulate a design choice in documentation, defend it during meetings, and demonstrate it to customers.
• Proven capacity to work independently. We provide you with the objectives, not the steps to achieve them.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
• 401(k) plan
• Parental leave policy
• Unlimited paid time off plus company holidays
• Quarterly offsite events
• Equipment stipend
