This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the top-of-funnel sales strategy for enterprise clients.
• Develop the BDR playbook specifically for outbound prospecting.
• Generate new sales leads through outbound outreach and inbound qualification methods.
• Enhance top-of-funnel sales by implementing warm and outbound prospecting campaigns.
• Rigorously qualify leads: Conduct discovery sessions to identify current PBM challenges, member pain points, renewal timelines, and decision-making criteria; arrange high-quality meetings for AEs.
• Execute personalized outreach at scale: Collaborate with marketing and Sales VPs to design and implement outreach sequences, call scripts, and value-oriented messaging that align SmithRx’s transparent, pass-through PBM model with specific buyer pain points.
• Research companies and compile prospects for our outbound lists.
• Maintain funnel/pipeline hygiene and forecasting: Keep detailed CRM records, log activities, track lead sources, conversion metrics, and next steps to ensure visibility for the Go-To-Market team.
• 3-4 years of experience in BDR/SDR or inside sales positions; experience in enterprise healthcare or employer benefits is advantageous (PBM, health plan, care navigation, digital health).
• Demonstrated success in meeting pipeline targets within complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Strong listening, research, and communication skills (both verbal and written); comfortable engaging with HR/Benefits leaders, CFOs/Finance personnel, and consultants.
• Proficiency in CRM and sequencing tools (Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft), in addition to data tools (ZoomInfo, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
• Possess a builder’s mindset—willing to experiment, measure, and refine outreach strategies.
• Additional desirable qualifications include:
• Experience selling to benefits consultants/brokers.
• Understanding of PBM mechanics (rebates, formularies, pass-through vs spread pricing) and employer plan design.
• Proven track record of success in a high-growth, mission-driven health tech company.
