Fossil Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee Engineering and Construction (E&C) involvement in gas project technology assessments and commercial due diligence.

• Assess commercial obligations, feasibility of construction, site integration challenges, and utility connection prerequisites.

• Collaborate with engineering experts on balance-of-plant, interconnections, gas and water supply, wastewater, and air emissions regulations.

• Direct Technology Review, capital estimation, project timeline formulation, and Preliminary Engineering stages.

• Facilitate expert consultations for site layout evaluations and risk analysis.

• Engage in negotiations for commercial offtake agreements, site permitting, and interconnection procedures.

• Work alongside the Integrated Supply Chain on RFQ contributions, scope assessments, and bid evaluations for key equipment and EPC/EPCM contracts.

• Lead the development of project schedules, cost benchmarking, cash flow modeling, and risk-adjusted cost positioning for project approval decisions.

• Report to the onsite Manager without having direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in energy project development or large-scale capital construction.

• Proven experience in EPC/EPCM project execution, cost estimation, schedule creation, and project risk management specifically for gas generation initiatives.

• Background in procuring major equipment and EPC/EPCM agreements, including bid preparation, assessment, negotiation, and awarding.

• Experience with combined-cycle or simple-cycle gas development across various geographical locations and regulatory frameworks.

• Proficient in Microsoft Project or Primavera for project management and scheduling tasks.
