This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily management of designated gas project development initiatives, from technology due diligence and FEED studies to construction preparedness.
• Direct E&C involvement in technology and commercial due diligence for gas projects.
• Assess commercial obligations, constructability, site integration challenges, utility interconnection needs, and initial cost estimates.
• Identify and document both technology and commercial risks, including alternatives for balance-of-plant, supply chain availability, and site-specific limitations.
• Provide E&C technical and commercial insights during OEM and contractor meetings, site evaluations, and technology assessments.
• Collaborate with SMEs to assess balance-of-plant and interconnection needs, encompassing switchyard, transmission, gas, water, wastewater, and air emissions requirements.
• Spearhead participation in technology reviews, capital estimation, schedule development, and preliminary engineering stages.
• Maintain a risk register that covers scope, schedule, cost, and constructability risks.
• Coordinate E&C SME resources for site configuration reviews and risk evaluations.
• Lead efforts in negotiating offtake agreements, site permitting, and interconnection procedures.
• Collaborate with Integrated Supply Chain for RFQ input, scope analysis, and bid assessments for major equipment and EPC/EPCM scopes.
• Manage bid evaluations, recommendations, and contract negotiation processes.
• Direct the development of schedules, cost benchmarks, cash flow modeling, and risk-adjusted cost strategies.
• Report on emerging risks, mitigation strategies, and remaining exposure to leadership.
• Assist in process enhancements and the integration of project data and risk tracking into project management systems.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in energy project development or large-scale construction, demonstrating leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder settings.
• Proficiency in EPC/EPCM project delivery, cost estimation, schedule creation, and project risk management for gas generation initiatives.
• Experience in the procurement of major equipment and EPC/EPCM contracts, including bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and awarding.
• Demonstrated ability to lead amidst uncertainty in early-stage, origination-driven development programs.
• Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders, including executive management and public officials.
• Preferred: Experience with combined cycle or simple cycle gas development across various geographical and regulatory contexts.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera project management and scheduling software.
