Forward Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with clients to comprehend their architecture, use cases, and business objectives, and translate those into scalable technical solutions.

• Design and execute comprehensive solutions that integrate SingleStore into current application and data ecosystems.

• Facilitate whiteboard sessions to refine ideas, define architecture, and transform concepts into technical specifications and execution plans.

• Serve as a proactive thought partner, contributing ideas and steering discussions rather than merely responding to requirements.

• Take ownership of delivering high-impact initiatives from inception to production, ensuring successful outcomes.

• Provide hands-on assistance, including troubleshooting, optimization, and implementing practical solutions or fixes as necessary.

• Work closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities and the roadmap.

• Assist customers in prioritizing and operationalizing their data initiatives, striking a balance between ambition and practical delivery.

• Share insights gained from customer interactions back to Product and Engineering teams to influence the roadmap and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in solution architecture, solution engineering, or technical consulting (both pre-sales and post-sales).

• Strong background in databases, distributed systems, or software engineering.

• Proven track record of delivering production-grade solutions in customer-facing scenarios.

• Experience in integrating complex systems across data pipelines, applications, and infrastructure.

• Capability to convert ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans and drive execution effectively.

• Experience with enterprise customers, especially in financial services or high-tech sectors, is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities, capable of guiding both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven ability to balance technical innovation with practical delivery and realistic scoping.

• Alignment with product capabilities and roadmap, ensuring that solutions are both impactful and feasible.
