Forward Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with clients to comprehend their architecture, use cases, and business objectives, translating these into scalable technical solutions.

• Design and implement comprehensive solutions that integrate SingleStore into existing application and data ecosystems.

• Facilitate whiteboarding sessions to develop ideas, outline architecture, and convert concepts into technical specifications and execution strategies.

• Serve as a proactive thought partner, contributing ideas and steering discussions rather than merely responding to requirements.

• Take ownership of delivering high-impact initiatives from concept to production, ensuring successful outcomes.

• Provide hands-on assistance, including troubleshooting, optimization, and applying practical solutions or fixes as necessary.

• Work closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to align customer needs with product capabilities and the roadmap.

• Assist customers in prioritizing and operationalizing their data initiatives, balancing ambition with practical implementation.

• Share insights from customer interactions back into Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in solution architecture, solution engineering, or technical consulting (both pre-sales and post-sales).

• Strong background in databases, distributed systems, or software engineering.

• Proven track record of delivering production-grade solutions in customer-facing settings.

• Experienced in integrating complex systems across data pipelines, applications, and infrastructure.

• Capability to convert ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans and drive execution.

• Experience working with enterprise clients, particularly in the financial services or high-tech sectors, is highly preferred.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to balance technical innovation with pragmatic delivery and realistic scoping.

• Alignment with product capabilities and roadmap, ensuring that solutions are both impactful and feasible.
