Forward Deployed Engineer, Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will receive the necessary resources to master the mechanics of the Domino platform and understand core user/admin functionalities. You will closely observe the customer’s environment, collaborating with a senior FDE to learn about the client's unique data, tooling stack, and commercial goals.

• You will take full ownership of customer engagements, working independently against a prioritized backlog overseen by your partner Engagement Manager (EM). You will develop and deploy production-grade solutions throughout the entire MLOps lifecycle (development, deployment, and monitoring) while providing guidance to data science teams on Domino best practices.

• You will lead and consult on key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders. You will create reusable playbooks, integration templates, and deployment guides for our shared knowledge base, significantly enhancing the delivery speed of the entire FDE practice. Furthermore, you will convert field intelligence into essential product feedback, directing platform signals to our SRE, Support, and Product teams to influence Domino’s roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong engineering background with extensive expertise in Python (primary), along with familiarity in SQL, R, and Bash.

• Experience with Kubernetes and managed K8s solutions (such as EKS, AKS, or GKE), Docker, and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP). You should be adept at troubleshooting networking, compute, and platform issues.

• A proven history of delivering machine learning workflows, model deployment/monitoring, GPU workloads, and generative AI or agent frameworks.

• Experience working within or consulting for highly regulated or constrained environments. You can skillfully navigate multi-factor constraints such as strict compliance rules, data security challenges, and infrastructure limitations.

• Outstanding communication skills tailored for both technical and business audiences. You are at ease facilitating structured discovery conversations, leading technical solutioning sessions, and converting complex customer requirements into actionable, tested solutions.

• A proactive "act fast, own it" mentality. You thrive in uncertain situations, do not allow blockers to linger, and are adept at quickly becoming productive within an unfamiliar codebase.
