Forward Deployed Engineer – CloudFlare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor for key enterprise clients, delivering technical insights, best practices, and strategic recommendations that align with their business objectives and enhance success with Cloudflare's solutions, especially the Cloudflare Workers and Workers AI platforms.

• Lead architectural discussions, design sessions, and solution evaluations to ensure the effective integration of Cloudflare's offerings within customer environments. Identify complex technical challenges and provide impactful, strategic solutions in partnership with support and product teams.

• Architect Application Security: Develop and configure comprehensive, customized solutions focusing on Application Security, employing Cloudflare Workers to optimize global traffic management and enhance Network Security.

• Master Infrastructure as Code: Assist the account team in managing intricate configurations that heavily rely on Terraform to maintain seamless operational continuity.

• Act as a Strategic Liaison: Function as a rapid conduit between customers and internal Cloudflare teams (Product, Support, Engineering), effectively advocating for customer requirements and influencing the product roadmap.

• Navigate Modern Communication: Oversee complex, fast-paced technical discussions predominantly via Slack, guiding customers even when formal meetings are challenging to arrange.

• Drive AI Innovation: Utilize your extensive knowledge of AI/LLM concepts to align Cloudflare's capabilities with the customer's AI-centric culture and future technological aspirations.

• Provide Long-Term Guidance: Remain with the account after migration as a trusted advisor to identify future strategic initiatives, including transitions into Network Security and SASE architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technical consulting, solutions architecture, customer engineering, or a comparable client-facing technical role.

• Strong expertise with Cloudflare, including Application Security, Workers, Workers AI, or similar web security platforms.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Solid understanding of networking, web infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Zero Trust/SASE principles.

• Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud or security solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience collaborating directly with enterprise customers in fast-paced, highly cooperative environments.

• Strong interest in AI technologies and familiarity with AI/LLM concepts.

• Advanced English communication proficiency.
