Forward Deployed Engineer – CloudFlare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, implementation, and migration of Cloudflare-based solutions tailored for enterprise clients.

• Create secure and scalable web infrastructure by utilizing Cloudflare Application Security, Workers, Workers AI, and Zero Trust features.

• Deploy and manage infrastructure following Terraform principles and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.

• Act as the main technical consultant, assisting customers with architectural choices, troubleshooting, and performance enhancement.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to tackle intricate technical issues and represent customer interests.

• Engage with clients in dynamic, Slack-oriented settings, delivering precise technical advice and prompt resolutions.

• Propel the integration of AI-enhanced security and cloud-native technologies that align with customer goals.

• Discover avenues to enhance security functionalities, encompassing Network Security and SASE architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of expertise in technical consulting, solutions architecture, customer engineering, or a similar client-facing technical position.

• Profound knowledge of Cloudflare, including Application Security, Workers, Workers AI, or equivalent web security solutions.

• Practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.

• Strong grasp of networking, web infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Zero Trust/SASE principles.

• Proven experience in designing and executing enterprise-level cloud or security solutions.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working closely with enterprise clients in fast-paced, highly collaborative settings.

• Keen interest in AI technologies and familiarity with AI/LLM concepts.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Nice to have: Background in Network Security or SASE implementations.

• Experience in scripting or programming for automation purposes (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript, or Bash).

• Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers AI or other AI-driven cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Experience in consulting, professional services, or digital transformation organizations.

• Background in supporting large-scale enterprise migrations or modernization efforts.
