This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage essential software integrations that activate our C2 systems within customer environments, ensuring seamless operation from initial deployment to production reliability across various hardware configurations and operational contexts.
• Troubleshoot intricate issues in distributed systems on-site, examining logs, network traffic, and system performance to swiftly resolve failures with minimal assistance.
• Collaborate with the engineering team in the development of core services, providing field insights to enhance the product and implement improvements that yield tangible operational benefits.
• Write code on a daily basis across the entire stack, addressing customer-specific integration challenges, contributing to core service development, and creating monitoring and reliability solutions that perform well in real-world scenarios.
• Maintain ongoing operational environments, including working non-standard hours, responding to on-call situations, and providing rotational coverage in line with mission requirements.
• Travel both domestically and internationally (up to 75%) to test sites and customer locations for software deployment, issue troubleshooting, and relaying critical requirements back to the engineering team.
• Work collaboratively with U.S. military and government program offices both on-site and remotely, translating complex operational needs into effective software solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience, or a proven equivalent capability.
• Strong command of at least one major programming language (Python, C/C++, Golang, or Java).
• Comprehensive understanding of networking principles, including NAT, DNS/mDNS, UDP/TCP protocols, multicast, and firewall setup.
• Experience in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
• Demonstrated debugging expertise across complex software systems, with proficiency in log analysis, debugger usage, and systematic issue tracing.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with U.S. government and military clients, as well as internal engineering teams.
• Willingness and capability to travel 60% of the time, both domestically and internationally, including to remote or restricted-access areas.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance; an active Secret clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
