Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist customers in constructing production systems

• Lead technical assessments and proof-of-concept initiatives

• Collaborate with customer engineering teams to design production architectures

• Develop integrations, reference implementations, and sample applications

• Support customers from successful evaluations through to production deployment

• Ensure successful production deployments

• Create strategies for Kubernetes and cloud deployments

• Establish best practices for observability, networking, security, and operations

• Diagnose and address complex production challenges

• Provide support for critical customer escalations as they occur

• Enhance Restate

• Contribute to the creation of documentation, tutorials, demos, and implementation guides

• Transform recurring customer inquiries into reusable tools and enablement resources

• Collaborate closely with engineering to enhance the developer experience

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in building or managing distributed systems

• Professional proficiency in Go or Rust

• Familiarity with TypeScript, Java, or Python

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Expertise in production operations, observability, and networking

• Understanding of modern backend architecture and distributed systems design
