Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create user-facing interfaces using TypeScript and React, in addition to backend services and APIs developed in Python or Node.

• Implement agentic behavior that includes orchestration, tool and function invocation, memory management, and guardrails.

• Construct retrieval-augmented generation pipelines that involve ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and both vector and hybrid search.

• Integrate AI systems with enterprise data and applications through APIs, semantic layers, and protocols like MCP.

• Develop evaluation suites and regression tests for features powered by LLM.

• Oversee cost, latency, and quality metrics in a production environment.

• Utilize version control, conduct code reviews, implement automated testing, and apply CI/CD practices along with observability.

• Deploy applications on cloud infrastructures such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.

• Design and maintain data pipelines that supply AI systems.

• Regularly use Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, or Cursor, ensuring verification and review processes are followed.

• Effectively communicate progress, trade-offs, and obstacles to clients and project leads.

• Assist in pre-sales activities through solution scoping, demo creation, and effort estimation.

• Mentor less experienced engineers.

• Contribute to the development of internal accelerators, reusable components, and engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in software or data engineering.

• Significant hands-on experience with AI tools and LLM-based development over the past year.

• Proficient programming skills in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Experience in building and utilizing APIs.

• Background in front-end development using React or similar frameworks.

• Familiarity with at least one backend framework.

• Practical experience with RAG, embeddings, and vector search techniques.

• Knowledge of at least one agentic framework such as LangGraph, LangChain, Google ADK, Claude Agent SDK, or OpenAI Agents SDK.

• Deep expertise in at least one major AI platform ecosystem: Google, Anthropic, or OpenAI.

• Experience working with at least one cloud platform: GCP, Azure, or AWS.

• Proven track record in building and maintaining data pipelines.

• Proficiency with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, or Cursor.

• Professional proficiency in English at C1 or C2 level minimum.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• A certification in at least one major AI platform or cloud is required within the first two months if not already obtained.

• Availability during US business hours.

• An updated resume.

• A GitHub link or portfolio showcasing AI systems or full-stack projects developed and deployed in production.

• A 1–2 minute Loom video introducing yourself, detailing one production AI system you have managed end to end, and describing its evaluation and reliability measures.
