Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Enter new client codebases and environments, rapidly developing a comprehensive understanding of the system and its challenges.

• Engage directly with client stakeholders to clarify ambiguous requests before and during the development process.

• Create and implement solutions across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and any other necessary technical areas.

• Intentionally utilize approved AI tools and verify their results.

• Manage projects through to production, including deployment, handoff, and user adoption.

• Clearly and promptly communicate progress, risks, and unresolved questions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Tailor your approach based on the scope, stakes, and level of autonomy required for each engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid software engineering fundamentals demonstrated across multiple stacks or technical layers.

• Established ability to analyze unfamiliar systems and interpret ambiguous requirements with minimal guidance.

• Methodical use and validation of AI-generated code and outputs; capability to articulate and justify any delivered work.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with client stakeholders in English.

• Proven history of taking ownership through to production readiness, beyond just completing features.

• Must be able to maintain synchronous working hours overlap with assigned clients.

• Preferred: experience in client-side roles or within a consulting/professional services context.

• Preferred: familiarity with various cloud platforms, frameworks, or programming languages.

• Preferred: experience in mentoring or reviewing the work of other engineers.

• Preferred: ability to work effectively with limited product or technical documentation.
