Forward Deployed Application Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with Engineering, Operations, Battery Teams, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to pinpoint bottlenecks and develop tailored software solutions.

• Design and implement advanced, responsive React interfaces utilizing contemporary state management libraries.

• Generate high-density data visualizations for intricate battery performance data.

• Create and enhance Snowflake schemas and application data models for transactional processes and analytical investigation.

• Utilize dbt and Airflow to clean, transform, and migrate data into application-ready schemas.

• Employ Datadog, Sumo Logic, and StatsD for monitoring user interactions and application performance.

• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation patterns to develop natural-language tools for querying technical specifications, experimental outcomes, and financial information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS-in-JS or Tailwind.

• Preferred experience with data visualization libraries such as Plotly or Bokeh.

• Expert-level proficiency in Python, including frameworks like FastAPI and Flask.

• Advanced experience with Snowflake and dbt.

• Capability to design application data schemas, including graph-based relationships.

• A clear philosophy regarding the design of intuitive complex data-entry and data-analysis workflows.

• Familiarity with Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.

• Practical experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.

• Hands-on experience in building RAG architectures and integrating LLMs into production workflows.

• Experience in deploying native iOS applications for internal business use.

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related engineering discipline.

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with an M.S. or 8+ years with a B.S.

• Ideally, experience in hardware product technology and/or manufacturing settings.

• Proven history of developing complex internal tools for Operations, Engineering, Battery Teams, Finance, or Supply Chain teams.

• Strong inclination towards action and capability to work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

• Ability to travel long distances and maintain a stationary position for extended periods.

• Proficiency in operating a computer and office equipment in a fixed location.
