Forensic Structural Engineer, PE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough forensic investigations into structural failures, collapses, and construction defects.

• Execute site inspections and collect pertinent data to support forensic evaluations.

• Apply engineering principles and methodologies to analyze and evaluate structural challenges.

• Create clear and concise technical reports that detail findings and conclusions.

• Provide expert testimony in legal matters as necessary.

• Remain updated with industry trends, codes, and standards related to structural engineering.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Licensed Civil or Structural Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Illinois.

• Structural Engineer (S.E.) licensure is highly preferred.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Experience providing expert testimony in legal settings is advantageous.

• U.S. Person status is required due to ITAR export controls: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
