πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Investigate the causes and origins of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems and components across industrial, commercial, and residential environments.

β€’ Analyze mechanical system failures to identify their causes, assess construction quality, and review design and maintenance protocols.

β€’ Conduct field investigations, lead collaborative examinations, and document findings related to damaged properties.

β€’ Research failure modes and code requirements, offering recommendations for repairs and/or replacements as necessary.

β€’ Create accurate, clear, and detailed reports along with related documentation for clients that outline opinions and conclusions.

β€’ Collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams on large and intricate assignments.

β€’ Sustain established relationships with existing clients and consultants.

β€’ Remain informed about company policies, procedures, and practices; engage in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved to ensure knowledge and skills stay current and comprehensive.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

β€’ A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the insurance or legal forensics sectors.

β€’ Residency in the Midwest region of the United States is mandatory.

β€’ Requires an active Professional Engineering (PE) license; at least the minimum required for the state of residence.

β€’ Willingness to engage in expert witness work and provide court testimony.

β€’ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

β€’ Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

β€’ A strong desire to learn, excel, and grow with our team and in the profession.

β€’ Must be adaptable to travel, with the ability to accommodate approximately 30–50% travel.
