This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Conduct forensic accounting analyses in matters related to family law and matrimonial cases
• Evaluate personal and business financial documents, such as bank statements, general ledgers, tax returns, and QuickBooks files
• Trace income, expenses, assets, and liabilities while identifying potential hidden or dissipated assets
• Prepare analyses of lifestyle, income, net worth, and cash flow reconstructions
• Assist in engagements related to business valuation
• Create expert reports, schedules, exhibits, and other materials to support litigation
• Provide assistance to directors during discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation
• Keep workpapers organized and adhere to court and litigation deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of forensic accounting experience with significant exposure to family law
• Experience in supporting litigation and serving as an expert witness
• Strong comprehension of: o Equitable distribution o Income available for support o Tracing separate vs. marital property o Business owner compensation analysis o Cash flow and lifestyle analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and financial analysis software
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and written communication abilities
• Capability to work independently in a fully remote setting
