This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Drive growth in designated territories and meet sales targets.
• Develop expertise in our product range, customer requirements, and distribution methods.
• Present and market products to existing and prospective clients, while fostering and maintaining relationships.
• Track opportunities and manage the bidding process for foodservice accounts.
• Efficiently use the company’s CRM to monitor sales calls, opportunities, successes, campaigns, and forecasts.
• Recruit and oversee the performance of sales brokers in the assigned area, providing training and support as necessary.
• Collaborate with the team to refine strategies, including market expansion, priorities, timelines, and budgets.
• Formulate sales strategies for assigned territories and work with brokers on pipeline strategies.
• Build and sustain relationships with distributor representatives, organizing and conducting training for distributors.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure that territory forecasts align accurately with ingredient purchasing plans and finished goods volumes.
• Offer recommendations, provide feedback, and collaborate on product development initiatives.
• Organize and participate in conferences, meetings, and industry events to strengthen relationships with current and potential customers.
• Attend and engage actively in priority sales meetings and appointments.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in food service sales is required, with extensive relationships in the food service industry preferred.
• Friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor, valuing relationships and enjoying collaboration with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Confident public speaking capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a dedication to excellence.
• Flexible and open to undertaking various tasks to support team objectives.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage obligations effectively.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and personal accountability, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to make independent decisions.
• Proficient in IT, with skills including GSuite.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Must maintain a current food handler’s permit and apply food safety knowledge as required.
• Interest in the plant-based meat sector.
