Food Safety Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients in maintaining brand standards

• Guarantee outstanding food quality and customer-centric service

• Perform evaluations to assess compliance with regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards

• Monitor food preparation and cooking standards for safety, health, and sanitation

• Collaborate with clients to resolve assessment inconsistencies and formulate corrective action plans

• Educate and guide clients on safer and healthier workplace practices

• Execute audits and inspections

• Establish and oversee food safety practices

• Train and instruct staff

• Investigate incidents related to food safety

• Ensure adherence to regulations

• Keep documentation and records up to date

• Travel 50%-70% of the time, or 8-10 days per month, which may include some evenings and weekends

⛳️ Requirements

• Must meet the criteria to obtain a CP-FS certification

• Available to work Monday to Friday, with potential Saturday and evening shifts as required

• Must hold a valid driver’s license from the state of residence

• Licenses/certificates as mandated by federal, state, and/or local regulations

• Strong knowledge of food safety is preferred

• ServSafe and/or CP-FS certifications are advantageous

• Exceptional listening, organizational, communication, and time management skills

• Ability and willingness to influence others with diplomacy and finesse

• Capable of providing clear and constructive feedback in a positive manner

• Ability to thrive in an autonomous work environment

• Flexibility in working hours is essential

• Competent in organizing and prioritizing tasks based on urgency, efficiency, and other considerations
