This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Play a key role in the development and testing of our satellite flight software.
• Engage in the complete lifecycle of flight software development, starting from requirements definition to operational phases.
• Assist in mission concept development, enhance in-house modeling and simulation capabilities, and participate in proposal writing.
• Provide independent support for complex tasks under the guidance of the Software Team Lead and Software Engineering Manager.
• Update existing flight software to accommodate new missions.
• Create internal tools for analyzing flight software performance and evaluating compatibility with new mission concepts and operations.
• Design and implement flight software verification and validation tests at various levels.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to facilitate installation on test platforms and eventual flight hardware.
• Take part in anomaly resolution efforts and apply patches to existing flight software.
• Develop, integrate, and test flight software applications utilizing spacecraft flight software frameworks such as NASA's Core Flight System (cFS).
• Proven experience in developing spacecraft flight software (FSW) for satellites, spacecraft, launch vehicles, or autonomous aerospace systems.
• Familiarity with NASA Core Flight System (cFS) and/or other spacecraft flight software architectures.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems such as RTEMS, VxWorks, Integrity, or embedded Linux.
• Understanding of spacecraft command and telemetry systems, CCSDS protocols, fault management, and onboard autonomy.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), FlatSat, digital twin, or spacecraft integration and testing environments.
• Background in supporting spacecraft mission operations, anomaly resolution, and on-orbit software maintenance.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related scientific fields.
• At least 3 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 1 year with a Master's degree.
• Demonstrated experience working with aerospace hardware and/or software systems, from conceptual designs and trade-offs through detailed design, development, manufacturing, integration, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++.
• US Citizenship.
