This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the operations related to fixed income trade settlements, encompassing trade exception management, inquiries, allocations, fail resolution, and position transfers.
• Oversee the complete corporate actions process by performing research, assessing event details, and coordinating with traders on elections and associated liabilities.
• Maintain and summarize an internal workboard utilized by trading, research, and engineering teams to ensure effective communication and alignment across functions.
• Reconcile internal records with those of prime brokers and fund administrators, promptly investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the Fund Accounting team to guarantee accurate recording of all transactions, including participation in cash reconciliations and month-end reviews.
• Improve operational efficiency through process enhancements and automation initiatives.
• Assist with firm-wide projects such as broker onboardings, restructurings, and the establishment of new accounts.
• Engage in cross-training programs, workflow evaluations, and coverage planning to foster team scalability and resilience.
• Coordinate with external service providers to pinpoint process improvements and ensure compliance with evolving policies and control standards.
• Aid in the development and refinement of internal policies, procedures, and best practices.
• 5-10 years of experience in finance, preferably in an operations or middle office role at a hedge fund, broker-dealer, or fund administrator.
• Availability to work from 7 am to 5 pm PST.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with or a willingness to learn enterprise-level accounting software and create efficient processes.
• Background in automating manual processes (preferred), focusing on utilizing AI language models and AI coding tools.
• Experience in a hedge fund, broker-dealer, or fund administrator, including basic accounting for monthly closings (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting (preferred).
