This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ The First Party Collector is tasked with managing inbound customer calls and initiating outbound calls.
β’ Engaging with consumers to negotiate payment arrangements for early out accounts.
β’ Adhering to Federal, State, company, and client collection regulations and laws.
β’ Effectively persuading patients to settle past due medical debts.
β’ Addressing stalls and objections while suggesting potential payment sources for debts.
β’ Leaving messages for consumers that inform them of contact points by utilizing a mandated script.
β’ Updating customer records with new details, documenting call outcomes or dispositions, and taking relevant notes about the call in the system's menu or narrative section.
β’ Complying with the production standards established for the department and client.
β’ Ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in managing medical records in accordance with HIPAA, Federal, State, and Company standards.
β’ A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is necessary.
β’ A preferred 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, sales, 1st party collections, or a similar role.
β’ Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center, negotiating and collecting payments, operating on an automated dialer, and interpreting EOB's and FACS or EPIC.
β’ Excellent organization and communication capabilities.
β’ Thorough understanding and compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations (including HIPAA and FDCPA).
β’ Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
β’ Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to manage a high volume of calls.
