This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland, +2 more countries.
• Create, implement, and enhance low-level C firmware for the Boot and Power Management Processor (BPMP) throughout the complete Tegra SoC lifecycle.
• Offer hands-on technical assistance to current product initiatives by diagnosing and resolving complex, high-priority challenges.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to facilitate swift issue resolution.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and safety architecture teams across globally distributed engineering locations to synchronize requirements and system-level interfaces.
• Identify intricate hardware/software boundary failures utilizing boot logs and hardware traces.
• Develop thorough unit and integration tests.
• Conduct error injection on both emulation platforms and physical boards.
• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in embedded firmware development, low-level C programming, and memory-mapped register access.
• Proven ability to tackle technical problem-solving in complex projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with AI agents or LLM-assisted software development processes.
• Solid understanding of SoC boot flows, interrupts, linker/build systems, and device tree-based configurations.
• Knowledge of low-level SoC infrastructure, including clocks, resets, voltage rails, and power-gating behaviors.
• Proficient debugging skills, self-motivated mindset, teamwork capabilities, and a keen focus on avoiding regressions.
• Experience or a strong professional interest in Rust for systems programming, secure firmware architectures, or tooling.
• Established experience working under ISO 26262 functional safety standards and conducting FMEA.
• Familiarity with secure boot principles and hardware/software boundary security.
