This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Decompose system and product requirements into a firmware design and implement it for the ARC product lines.
• Collaborate with the product team to establish and define performance metrics for sensor components.
• Continuously enhance user experience related to accuracy, stability, and calibration of MEMS sensors.
• Assist in firmware development and optimization efforts focusing on processing efficiency, code size, and power requirements.
• Offer insights, feedback, and data-driven results to management and leadership on various firmware features, functionalities, and power usage.
• Coordinate with the ARC team to plan firmware tasks within Agile development cycles.
• Identify, create, and implement both automated and manual testing procedures in collaboration with ARC QA functions, including hands-on support for debugging and resolving identified issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
• Background in hardware or firmware development (C programming).
• Familiarity with electronic magnetometers, accelerometers, gyroscopes, temperature/pressure sensors, and comparable digital sensing technologies.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, and UART communication protocols.
• Experience in developing solutions based on microprocessors/microcontrollers.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and development cycles.
• Proficient in utilizing various development environments, along with meters, oscilloscopes, JTAG debugging tools, logic analyzers, packet sniffers, emulators, etc.
• Awareness of battery-operated products or those with limited power resources.
