This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver expert-level assistance for ECAD tools, with a specific emphasis on schematic capture and PCB layout processes, while possessing a comprehensive understanding of EDA tools overall.
• Design and uphold scripts (utilizing Python, Perl, or similar programming languages) to automate design tasks, enhance data integrity, and optimize the design-to-manufacturing workflow.
• Oversee and sustain Linux-based EDA environments; provide secondary support for Windows-based design stations.
• Administer EDA license servers, track usage, and resolve checkout issues to guarantee maximum availability for the design team.
• Manage tool upgrades, patch deployments, validation processes, and associated user communication and training.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal best practices, support knowledge bases, and user manuals for the design community.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's in Electrical Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent related work experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in EDA/CAD support (Level 2/3).
• More than 2 years of hands-on experience as an end user of ECAD tools such as Cadence Allegro, Concept, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Linux environments with the capability to troubleshoot system-level issues and automate workflows using scripting languages like Python, Perl, TCL, Skill, or other applicable languages.
• Familiarity with AI tools to aid in generating code and documentation, as well as assisting with support cases.
• Willingness to work outside of standard business hours and on weekends on an occasional, as-needed basis.
