Firewall & Network Engineer – m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and execute security strategies.

• Implement network segmentation, multi-factor authentication, and contemporary protective measures.

• Evaluate and enhance security architectures within client environments.

• Detect vulnerabilities and recommend specific remediation actions.

• Assist in incident response efforts.

• Analyze events and logs to promote sustainable enhancements.

• Operationalize security standards effectively.

• Aid in patch and update processes while continuously improving the security posture.

• Provide guidance to clients.

• Clearly communicate risks and formulate practical, feasible solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of practical experience in firewall and network engineering (both Build & Run).

• Strong comprehension of contemporary network and security principles (including segmentation, VPN, routing, and Zero Trust concepts).

• Proficient in German at C1 level (suitable for workshops and client interactions) and solid English proficiency.

• Methodical, self-directed work approach with a passion for Professional Services projects.

• Preferred: knowledge of vendors (such as Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco, Aruba, Dell), Azure Networking, EDR/XDR, SIEM; relevant certifications or a commitment to obtain them.
