Fire Safety Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conducting assessments for fire risk

• Executing surveys on fire compartmentation and integrity

• Performing inspections of fire doors

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of recent experience in carrying out thorough and comprehensive fire risk assessments

• Familiarity with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

• Comprehensive understanding of building regulations and the necessary fire safety requirements along with knowledge of pertinent guidance documents

• Insight into the compartmentation requirements within construction, including details about floors, walls, doors, fire stopping installations, penetration sealing products and techniques, and fire/smoke dampers

• In-depth knowledge of British Standards related to fire safety and installations (such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire safety signage, fire extinguishers, suppression systems, etc.)

• Ability to identify hazards and associated risks, providing guidance to mitigate or eliminate the risks to an acceptable level while managing the remaining risks

• Ability to produce comprehensive reports using SOCOTEC UK Limited templates within established timeframes to meet project KPIs and quality standards

• Assist clients in navigating the necessary statutory requirements to ensure compliance while upholding our expected service standards
