Fire Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations to determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions.

• Execute scene examinations, which include debris removal, sifting, and reconstruction of the scene.

• Interview witnesses, personnel from fire departments, and officials involved in investigations.

• Gather public records and engage in product research.

• Clearly communicate findings and opinions both verbally and in written form.

• Provide testimony during depositions and/or court proceedings.

• Meet with existing and prospective clients, including those in the insurance and legal sectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience in the private sector.

• Understanding of and familiarity with insurance policies.

• Knowledge of subrogation and liability matters.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of NFPA 1033 and 921 and their relevance to the industry.

• Preferred experience in providing testimony.

• Must not have been disqualified as an expert witness.

• No disciplinary actions or revocation of professional licenses.

• Required certification in origin and cause from a nationally recognized body (IAAI-CFI or NAFI-CFEI).

• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a college degree is preferred.
