Financial Technical Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist clients with technical accounting and financial operations across various projects.

• Precisely allocate cash receipts to outstanding balances.

• Execute credit control duties for reinsurance receivables and payables, along with associated account reconciliations.

• Oversee financial settlements with clients in accordance with policy terms and agreements.

• Manage overall cash flow efficiently and promptly.

• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance teams, clients, and offshore groups to clarify and resolve queries, incorrect data, and missing information.

• Provide support for ad-hoc projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Property & Casualty (excluding Life & Health) reinsurance/insurance operations or finance.

• Required experience in insurance/reinsurance.

• Essential understanding of contract terminology.

• Must be a resident of the 48 contiguous United States.

• Cannot require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Strong proficiency in Excel is required.

• At least 1 year of experience with accounting software is preferred, especially Great Plains and/or D365.

• Previous experience in cash allocations and credit control is preferred.

• A college degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent insurance work experience is highly preferred.

• Capability to multitask across various systems and accounts while handling multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Billing experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes.
