Financial Specialist – PACE Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide support for the financial operations within the PACE organization.

• Process and categorize invoices from vendors, contractors, service providers, healthcare entities, and program-related sources.

• Generate and input private-pay and miscellaneous billing invoices.

• Assist in onboarding vendors and maintain W-9 and Vendor NPI documentation.

• Aid members and vendors with inquiries related to insurance and necessary documentation.

• Review, reconcile, and balance payments from Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers.

• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue balances.

• Keep records of reimbursement tracking and payment reconciliations.

• Assist with month-end journal entries, General Ledger transactions, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

• Support monthly and annual closing processes.

• Review check registers and financial information provided by Third-Party Administrators.

• Monitor expenditures and identify any discrepancies or unusual variances.

• Assist with financial analysis and tracking of budgets.

• Communicate with vendors and act as a liaison with TPAs to resolve issues related to payments, billing, claims, and reporting.

• Maintain data on patient risk scores and organize financial records for audits and reviews.

• Support the ongoing improvement of financial processes and internal controls.

• Prepare and submit reports as requested by PACE Leadership.

• Perform additional finance and administrative duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, billing, or nonprofit financial operations.

• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Risk Score (HCC), or nonprofit accounting is preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Consent to drug and/or alcohol testing following a conditional offer of employment.

• Verification of eligibility through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse after a conditional offer and ongoing eligibility.
