Financial Shared Services Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Accounts Payable email, liaising with vendors and internal management as required.

• Process incoming invoices using AP software, ensuring proper coding and routing for approval in accordance with established guidelines and policies.

• Reconcile received invoices with purchase orders and receiving transactions when necessary.

• Collaborate with the operations team to address any discrepancies in the 3-way match process.

• Gather supporting documentation needed for weekly payments and accurately input payments into banking software.

• Work alongside suppliers to reconcile account statements, ensuring that payments and credits are applied correctly.

• Uphold a robust internal control environment that complies with SOX regulations.

• Foster and maintain effective cross-functional relationships within the organization; proactively engage with cross-functional partners to fulfill job responsibilities.

• Assist in ongoing process improvement initiatives.

• Represent Plug Power professionally in all interactions.

• Carry out any additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an accounting, customer service, or detail-oriented role is required.

• Experience with a large international corporation is highly preferred.

• Ability to approach all tasks with a customer service mindset.

• Capacity to work effectively across different geographies.

• Proficiency in computer and software systems relevant to the position, including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Unwavering commitment to quality.

• Proven analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to manage complex projects and effectively juggle multiple tasks.

• Proficient in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.

• Must be proactive and self-motivated.
