This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Preparing, analyzing, and reporting on financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with the accounting and reporting schedules.
• Engaging in the accounting close process, which includes the creation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Performing financial analysis on consolidated and business unit results, and providing ongoing support to business unit teams and various partners as required.
• Staying informed about current and emerging trends and developments in assigned areas of responsibility, evaluating their impact, and collaborating with management to integrate new trends into current and future solutions.
• Identifying and investigating reporting issues that arise from the application of accounting principles, standards, and regulations of the NAIC and other governing bodies, while assessing their relevance.
• Preparing, reviewing, and submitting quarterly and annual Statutory NAIC financial statements along with other regulatory submissions.
• Supporting and promoting organizational initiatives by positively influencing and aiding change management and/or departmental and enterprise initiatives within assigned responsibilities.
• Identifying and communicating to management potential process improvements that can reduce workloads or enhance quality in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Executing and delivering on routine assignments and projects while effectively utilizing knowledge of assigned responsibilities.
• Assisting with the coordination of SOX, MAR, and regulatory testing to ensure compliance with key controls established for the group.
• Preparing and/or reviewing internal management reports.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Degree in Accounting is preferred.
• 1 - 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis or Reporting relevant to the specific duties of this position.
• CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
• A confident and effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Capability to identify and propose process enhancements.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Exhibits excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
