Financial Reporting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and assist with the timely submission of various required financial reports.

• Aid in the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and additional lender reporting.

• Conduct research and analysis on technical accounting matters for complex transactions in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

• Draft accounting memoranda and assist in the implementation of new accounting standards that impact financial reporting and disclosures.

• Support external audit processes related to reporting and technical accounting.

• Ensure prompt and precise responses to auditor inquiries.

• Assist in compliance efforts and maintain documentation that supports internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).

• Contribute to the quarterly and annual closing processes to guarantee accurate and complete external reporting within set deadlines.

• Promote continuous enhancements of reporting workflows and internal control protocols.

• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and other departments to meet external reporting requirements and strategic objectives.

• Provide analytical support and help foster a scalable, compliance-oriented reporting environment.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or industry roles, including direct involvement in financial reporting.

• Strong technical accounting research and analytical abilities, with a capacity to assess complex transactions and effectively apply U.S. GAAP guidance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the capability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively in a dynamic reporting environment.

• Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP reporting standards.

• Experience in supporting SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).

• Proficiency in ERP systems and SEC reporting tools such as Workiva or similar platforms.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• CPA license (preferred).

• Experience in external reporting (preferred).

• Previous experience with a Big Four or national public accounting firm (highly desirable).
